Dude literally everything I used to do was wrong. And you're right. I have never sanded in my life. Goopy cut lines galore. Wet edge berms. Multi directional rolling. BLEEDING UNDER MY TAPE EDGES No wonder I hated painting so much.

I've done 4 showers with the 12x24 wavy white tiles and the spin doctor leviling clips work well with it.

Just painted my first room ever and it looks great. Was easy on the back and arms since I got the products you recommended. Some clumsiness and accidental paint splotches here and there at first but my cutting in is improving with each attempt and the dread I had for doing the rest of my house has now turned to excitement. since all of this is based on a drip down principle, shouldnt the horizontal piece actually extend over the edge of the recess, and then be folded down?

Do not silicone the front of the toilet. Wax seals don't last forever. Old houses over 20 years cans leak and you will not know it is leaking until the ceiling downstairs starts leaking. You want to see the leak in front of the toilet first before you end up repairing the downstairs ceiling.

This is super helpful! I have a house that was built in 1929. The flange is cast. When I moved in 5 years ago, I pulled the toilet and resealed it. Didn’t replace the flange, it probably should have, looking back. It was pretty rusted out. The twist and seal I think would be a great option for this to properly secure the toilet. Next project along with the vanity (watched your video on that as well). Your videos are very helpful with DIY projects around the house.

I just stuck around to see if the window framing was on purpose or an accident. Because that's not how is supposed to be

so what's everyone's opinion on framing with screws... I was taught framing should be done with nails and also in OSHA there is a part about sheer strength and tensile strength and it's code to use 16 in joist and floors

Help. I'm purchasing a TuffShed and finishing it out as a tiny cottage in Phoenix, AZ. I asked the rep why he marked that I would not be insulating it. He said so I will receive the radiant barrier which will help keep the shed cooler. Otherwise, I'd only get house wrap. What are your thoughts? 🤷🏽

How much does this advice differ when painint a new CMU mortared wall?

If it's not going to break on a joist why not just butt them together and not stagger them. Just put a piece above them between the joists

Is the green glue very smelly? I can't bear the chemical smells. So, 2 layers of drywall with green glue in between the wall the new drywall. Right?. Thanks.
